Position Overview:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of warehouse duties that may include taking inventory, packing, pulling/checking customer orders, replenishments, shipping and material handling. Checking route sales inventory for verification of accuracy. May operate hand and power equipment for material handling to accommodate storage of products throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordination and control of the handling, storage, location and flow of finished product through warehouse area;
- Receives daily inbound loads of product and plan shipping, arrange for excess product to be store in the warehouse area;
- Adjusts storage space assignments to handle daily flow of finished product;
- Checks availability of items to be shipped by checking inventory records or conducting a spot inventory of required product;
- Identifies and reports slow moving product;
- Identifies and rotates product accordingly. Identifies quantity of cases by product and by Best by Date and properly logs and identifies same;
- Keeps Supervisor and Lead informed as to the status of Finished Goods Inventory and reports any discrepancies;
- Ensures that all products is transferred and delivered to the designated location as requested;
- Ensures that all necessary reports and forms are filled out and submitted in a timely manner;
- Picks orders for shipment and assumes other responsibilities from time to time as directed;
- Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE);
- Ensures all areas are kept clean at all times;
- Attends all company training sessions; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations required
- Must be able to work in a sub-zero freezer with a temperature of -20◦
- Must have 1 year of experience as a certified as a Forklift Operator
- A minimum of two years’ experience as a warehouse team member
- Responsible, dependable, conscientious, alert, and safety minded
- Good math skills, required
- Excellent attendance and safety record
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two-three years’ experience as a warehouse team member, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Food Safety & Quality Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOP’s
- Accurately completes require Food Safety & Quality Records
- Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the QA Manager and Department Manager.
- Responsible for reporting any food safety concerns or tampering with product
- Attends all Food Safety/Quality training sessions

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, Requires the employee to stand for long periods of time, walk, frequent lifting of material up to 50 pounds and frequent twisting, turning, reaching, pushing and pulling use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.
Work Environment: Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production environment. As part of the job requirements associate may be exposed to a production setting and will work in a sub-zero freezer with a temperature of -20◦ at times. Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24 hour production facility. Schedule will include weekends and mandatory overtime.
