A Materials Planner is responsible for coordinating the transfer of raw materials, parts, and finished products between the source and destination. Being a Material Planner ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules or inventory requirements. Inputs data into a system or database to produce reporting and demand estimates.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
- Establishes and maintains recordkeeping system for purchasing department.
- Ensure raw/pack materials are kept in the appropriate quantities to support production requirements.
- Creates purchase orders and tracks incoming orders.
- Reconcile inventory count discrepancies.
- Respond to emergency supply material request.
- Manage the sticks category for Lubbock and Ontario.
- Collaborate with buyers on incoming material requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of high school diploma, associate’s degree or trade school equivalent is a plus.
- Experience with material handling & material organization.
- Experienced in Microsoft Office and ERP.
- Strong teamwork, communication and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to effectively manage changing and multiple priorities.
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.
- Represent the department in a positive and professional manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
